Netkas has successfully accomplished the feat of EFI on a hackint0sh. Having now finished a working framebuffer you can now boot OSx86 using an EFI layer called DUET on your BIOS pc. This essentially emulates the Apple EFI meaning less patches and a truer OS X install. What once seemed like a dream, Updates direct from Apple, could soon be a reality. If you're interested in helping this and developing support for more EFI modules and graphics cards then take a look at this thread and grab the files here. Remember you need a USB stick to do this! As mentioned in the thread you will still need the patched kernel although hopefully there will soon be a version to take advantage of the EFI layer. Quote this article on your site | E-mail
