You may have noticed a while ago that I changed the site's logo to a PNG image instead of the old GIF. This was done because I noticed the nice anti-aliasing effect it produced. However all though both formats use transparency layers, Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 decide not to play nicely with it and instead produce a single coloured background produced from the images palette. I didn't notice this effect immediately as I was using IE 7.0 on Vista and XP. I have now found a fix in the form of this Joomla extension – I feel this will benefit people so I have included a link .
