Todays piece is about my HTC Wizard commonly known as things such as the XDA Mini-S or MDA Vario see here for some info. Well it seems that a crossbow ROM has finally circulated that is designed for the wizard, albeit in Chinese but the WWE version will soon follow I would expect. I had been waiting on a heavily tested AKU3 ROM which would have had significant enhancements to Windows Mobile 5 however now that Crossbow is starting it's rounds I think I will take the plunge when a nice stable version arrives. My only concern is that I will have to CID unlock my device which will cost a price as there are currently no free alternatives (however that project is in progress so hopefully the 2 things will tie up nicely ). Getting an operating system upgrade will be nice and I'm glad I bought this phone now! It's starting to slow up with all the junk put on it and I think some things are corrupting – possibly as a result of overclocking – but who knows. Anyway if you're interested in upgrading a HTC phone then I highly recommend the very useful and helpful XDA Developers forums.
