Apple is really pushing to make 10.4.9 a final update to OS X Tiger and in doing so they have released an updated build to developers. The new build, 8P2117, is reportedly aimed at fixing even more low-level system features than build 8P2111 did. Fixes include updates to CoreData, CUPS, CFNetwork, Kerberos, Open SSH, SMB File Server, IOkit kernel, Unix commands and WebCore. Expect this to be a hefty download and sturdy update when released to consumers. Early hackintosh users report that replacing these files will allow a boot into GUI on Intel SSE3 systems: kernel, system.kext, applesmbios.kext, ionetworking.kext.
